The APAC Asset Backed Finance (ABF) position will report jointly to the Head of ABF Capital Markets and Head of WFS APAC; and will be responsible for leading the origination of ABF banking and securitization opportunities, connect to new-issue distribution, and coordinate with local Global Financial Institutions (“GFI”) and Global Banking (“GB”). The role will be private-side.
 
The APAC ABF role will lead the origination effort in the region staying closely aligned to the sector expertise in the US for asset due diligence and portfolio management.  This role will have a close partnership with the Markets Division in the region for distribution.  It will also be focused on representing ABF across all lines of business in APAC including GFI and GB as we lean into our lending relationships. These relationships require deep technical knowledge and experience in order to able to move transactions forward in this time zone which this role will provide.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
 
Required Qualifications
 •10+ years of experience in capital markets, industry experience within the specific sector of the position, or a combination of both

Other Desired Qualifications 
 
•10+ years of structured lending and/or asset-backed transaction experience including ABF client management experience
•Structured finance background with capabilities of expertly representing the Asset-Backed platform with both internal and external constituencies.
•Proven marketing expertise and a track record of successful origination, working with product groups or individually, of structured transactions
•Experience across multiple structured asset classes
•Active, in-force engagement with Wells’ Markets Division and/or WF relationship management groups as well as extensive internal Wells Fargo network
•Ability to develop and maintain relationships.
•Strong presence with ability to interact frequently with clients and senior management
•Proven ability to think strategically, partner across various businesses and levels of the organization, and to communicate recommendations and direct resources effectively
•Team player that behaves ethically and with the highest integrity
•Proficient at Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
