Finance Specialist

This Finance Specialist role, with the focus on Account Payable functions, is responsible for supporting the APAC Finance organization. This role is based in Hong Kong (the Regional Hub) and will be asked to provide regional support to teams located in Wells Fargo's APAC branches and legal entities. 
Duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Provide regional coverage on business expense payments, including reconciling and processing payments to third-party service providers
  • Maintain high integrity of control and perform Out of Pocket reimbursements in the APAC region
  • Align proper costing to Lines of Business with appropriate cost driver
  • Provide professional guidance on Accounts Payable requirements and workflow of full payable cycle per corporate policy
  • Collaborate with local branch Finance Manager and APAC Payroll team on vendor expense requirements, expense budgeting, and cash funding requirements
  • Perform expense analysis to provide value-added comment to senior management on variance analysis
  • Ensure updated documentation exists for all work flow processes in compliance with corporate policy and procedures
  • Work closely with the team to handle various ad hoc projects and other tasks in timely manner
  • Analyze and follow up on Breaks / Fails through resolution

  • University degree holder (Specialized in Accounting/Finance is preferred) or demonstrated accounting knowledge recognized by accounting bodies
  • Experienced in Accounts Payable or related functions
  • Excellent cash management knowledge and bank account operations experience
  • Proficient in navigating online payment platform and familiar with various wire payment types(e.g. TT, ACH, RTGS, and BT)
  • Experienced in SWIFT message communications between Banks
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Strong command of spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Proven capabilities with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of best practices on Accounts Payable control and  banking requirements/regulations across APAC regions
  • Experience in the banking industry preferred
  • Knowledge of Oracle booking and reporting tools
