Contract FP&A Financial Consultant

Role Summary/Purpose
Lead financial planning, analysis, reporting for CDF Asia business. This includes ownership of operating plans, forecasting and monthly close for full balance sheet and profit & loss. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of strategic initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop financial levers that will enable the business to meet net income and other business targets
  • Participate & support the development and implementation of company financial & operational strategies
  • Partner with commercial team to build pricing that meets internal financial hurdles while ensuring long term profitability
  • Develop business plans/forecasts and help develop strategy to achieve net income targets and other key metrics
  • Manage the monthly/quarterly financial closing and management reporting processes
  • Analyze variances and trends to determine changes in key business metrics vs. expectations and driving action
  • Work and support other business functions (Commercial, Risk, Legal, Operations) to meet overall business and financial objectives
  • Drive simplification of planning models and management reporting processes


Qualifications & Requirements
  • University degree (or equivalent) with a major in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 4 years in a similar role and industry
  • Professionally qualified accountant with CA or CPA designation preferred
  • Demonstrable change management skills, particularly those involving process re-engineering and systems change
  • Strong technical skills including a good current working knowledge of USGAAP accounting standards in the context of (ideally both) Asia and/or US financial services
  • Ability to build complex financial models using Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to give presentations and briefings to senior management and stakeholders
  • Creative and strategic thinking skills, including the ability to analyze business transactions and identify key Finance risks/mitigating controls, combined with a pragmatic approach to problem solving
  • The ability to work under pressure and maintain high energy levels
  • Must be able to work independently whilst providing leadership and positive collaboration within a fast paced, team environment
