Job Description

Teaching Assistant (Testing and Certification)

Location: Homantin

We are now inviting application(s) for the following post in the School of Science & Technology:

Teaching Assistant (Testing and Certification) (Ref: 16-TA(TC)-300-O)


The appointee will be responsible for providing assistance in the course planning, development, coordination and delivery, and where necessary, undertake classroom teaching, laboratory supervision, and mentoring in related disciplines. He/she will also be expected to participate in School/University activities and scholarly activities, where necessary.


Applicants should have at least a Bachelor’s degree, preferably a higher degree, in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Food Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, or a related discipline. Relevant teaching or industrial experience is preferred. A good command of English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua) is required.

Terms of Appointment

Successful candidates will be appointed on a full-time fixed term contract. Fringe benefits will include annual leave, medical & dental benefits, life insurance coverage and gratuity, where applicable.
