Part-Time Research Assistant

As one of the five academic units of the OUHK, the LiPACE is a dynamic, market-oriented and fast growing continuing education provider. With the mission of promoting life-long learning, the LiPACE offers a variety of flexible and high-quality educational opportunities, with an emphasis on face-to-face teaching, to the public for personal development, career advancement and appreciation of life. These include professional and training programmes, full-time programmes (e.g. Diploma Yi Jin, Diploma and Higher Diploma), full-time/part-time degree and masters programmes in collaboration with overseas institutions, and the Capacity Building Mileage Programme (a flexible learning project designed to equip women with a positive mindset and develop their potentials) in collaboration with the Women’s Commission.

Part-Time Research Assistant (Ref: 16-PTRA-287-O)
[For Research Project “Innovation and Social Impact in Higher Education: Some Lessons from Tohoku University and the Open University of Hong Kong” (Project No. 2015/1.8)]
The appointee(s) will assist in literature review, collecting and analysing research data, conducting interviews, drafting research report, administrative duties and other areas related to the research project.
Applicants should possess a relevant recognized bachelor degree in Japanese Studies or related subject areas with strong expertise in academic writing and research, as well as a good command of English and Chinese. Prior research work experience in universities with demonstrated abilities in statistical analysis and monitoring of research projects independently will be an advantage.
Applicants should obtain the certificate of Level N1 Japanese-Language Proficiency Test.
Terms of Appointment
Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time fixed term contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions, if applicable.
