We are now inviting application(s) for the following post in the School of Arts and Social Sciences:

Audio Visual Technician (Ref: 16-AVT-294-O)


The appointee will assist in (i) acquisition of equipment, (ii) laboratory and studio set up and maintenance, (iii) managing equipment booking and storage, (iv) operating and maintaining audio-visual teaching and learning equipment, and (v) guiding students in the use of audio-visual equipment.  He/she will be expected to undertake shift duty and/or work on irregular hours and weekends, if necessary.


Applicants should attain a diploma or higher certificate in Audio-Visual Technology, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline, with some relevant post-qualification experience. The applicants should also have relevant IT knowledge of equipment in programmes of film, animation & visual effects, photographic digital art as well as advertising & media design.  Experience in operating video camera and editing audio-visual materials using computers is required.

Terms of Appointment

Successful candidatewill be appointed on a full-time fixed term contract. Fringe benefits will include annual leave, medical & dental benefits, life insurance coverage, where applicable.
