Assistant Project Manager (Architecture)
We are looking for seasoned professional with campus development experience to assist in the implementation of the University’s Sheung Shing Street Development Project (“the Project”) and to ensure that the Project is in good progress according to the timeframe and within the allowable budget.
We are now inviting application(s) for the following post in the Facilities Management Unit:
Assistant Project Manager (Architecture) (Ref: 16-APM(A)-292-O)
The appointee(s) will be responsible for the planning, design and implementation of architectural and building works for the Project. He/she will mainly be required to assist the Project Manager to i) provide professional advice and conduct study on design and planning aspects of the Project; ii) liaise with and co-ordinate among internal users and external groups, including Government Departments, consultants and contractors, on relevant design, co-ordination and implementation of the works; iii) manage consultants and contractors’ works on design and implementation and supervise in-house technical staff members to ensure the Project shall be completed on-time within the financial budgets and at a quality standard; iv) prepare relevant works tenders and contract documents; and v) provide support and report to the senior management related to the Project.
Applicants should have i) a recognized Bachelor’s in Architecture, or an equivalent qualification, and strong in architectural design and building works; ii) HKIA registered Architect with minimum of 7 years’ postgraduate experience in building construction industry. Experience in developer or client side is preferred; ii) good knowledge of statutory submission requirements and procedures; iii) good administration and communication skills including report writing skill in English and Chinese and a self-initiative team player; iv) competence in the use of computer applications including AutoCAD, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Revit, Sketch-up and Microsoft Office, etc.; and v) Experience in campus development and pedestrian footbridge an advantage.
Terms of Appointment
Successful candidate will be appointed on a full-time fixed term contract. Fringe benefits will include annual leave, medical & dental benefits, life insurance coverage and gratuity, where applicable.
