The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is inviting applications for a substantiation-track faculty position at Assistant Professor rank. Appointment at Associate Professor rank or above will also be considered for candidates with outstanding track record. All research areas will be considered.
Applicants should have a PhD degree in chemical engineering or a related field. Successful candidates are expected to be able to develop strong, independent and innovative research programs, and be capable of teaching chemical and biomolecular engineering courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including medical/dental benefits and annual leave will be provided. Housing benefits will also be provided where applicable. Initial appointment at Assistant Professor rank will normally be made on a three-year contract, renewable subject to mutual agreement. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
