Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a)  take charge in the operation and management of the technical facilities of the Jockey Club Auditorium, Chiang Chen Studio Theatre and other venues under the management of the Office;

(b)  be responsible for the audio visual system operation and provide other technical support services, including but not limited to lighting and stage management on rotation basis to ensure smooth running of all events in venues;

(c)  support the production of different variety of arts and culture events of the office;

(d)  ensure the proper repair and maintenance of all venue facilities;

(e)  liaise with venue hirers to resolve technical issues;

(f)  serve as an audio designer in the production team;

(g)  be responsible for all audio related matters of all cultural and arts activities; and

(h)  perform other duties as assigned by the Head of the Office or his/her delegates.

He/She will be required to work on irregular hours as well as on Saturdays/Sundays/public holidays.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a)  a recognised degree with relevant disciplines, a diploma or certificate of The Hong Kong Academy for Performance Arts, and plus not less than three years of relevant experience in audio operation and design in performing venues OR five passes in HKCEE including English Language (at least Grade C if Syllabus A; Level 2 if results are obtained from 2007 onwards), Chinese Language (Level 2 if results are obtained from 2007 onwards) and Mathematics plus not less than eight years of experience in aforesaid fields;

(b)  knowledge of stage management, theatre lighting, sound, audio-visual and/or film projection;

(c)  a good command of English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua being an advantage;

(d)  good interpersonal skills; and

(e)  good computer literacy, with proficiency in AutoCAD 2008 Standalone version.
