Project Officer (Contracts and Finance) (Ref. 16092304-IE) 


The appointee will be responsible for the provision of contractual and financial services for contracts of capital works, alterations, additions and improvement works.  He/She will be required to: 

(a) prepare financial and management reports, cost analysis and cost data information; 

(b) check quotations, payment bills as well as prepare and update accounting reports; 

(c) liaise and coordinate with the Finance Office of the University for accounting matters and appointed consultants for financial and administration services; 

(d) assist in preparing tender and contract documents; 

(e) provide administrative support to the team; and 

(f)  perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Office or his delegates. 

The appointee may also be required to work outside office hours if necessary. 


Applicants should: 

(a)   have a recognised degree or a diploma in Accounting, Business Management or related disciplines; 

(b)  have at least three years of relevant experience; 

(c)   be proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel, with solid knowledge of Oracle Financials and/or database management programming languages being an advantage; 

(d)    possess a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and 

(e)    have good communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work independently. 

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a test of computer software applications. 

Remuneration and Conditions of Service 

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.  Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
