Analyst (Ref. 16101201-IE)
The appointee will be required to:
(a) conduct analyses to support strategic planning at university level;
(b) develop customized analyses, presentations and dashboards on university-wide data;
(c) analyze survey instruments and results that can reach internal and external constituents;
(d) develop, improve and assist the automation of current data gathering and reporting systems in conjunction with other central units and departments of the University; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Institutional Research and Planning or her delegates.
(a) have a recognised degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or other equivalent disciplines;
(b) have at least five years of relevant experience in data collection and analysis;
(c) have experience in dashboard development with data visualization tool such as QlikView or Tableau;
(d) demonstrate skills and technical knowledge in analytics tools and analytics projects;
(e) be able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English and Chinese;
(f) have good liaison and organization skills, with high self-motivation and ability to work independently;
(g) have good communication and interpersonal skills; and
(h) have good computer literacy.
Preference will be given to those with experience in working with QlikView.
Remuneration and Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
