Term Administrative Support Assistant
The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) offers over 20 innovative degree programmes that are vocationally oriented and developed with significant industry input. All the programmes are accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, and most are also accredited by the relevant professional bodies. In 2018/19 AY, twelve programmes are included in the Government’s Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions / Sectors (SSSDP), which provides subsidies to students varying from $41,000 to $71,700 per year. The appointee shall provide general administrative support to the Research Office including data entry, upkeep of databases and webpage, and other operational tasks related to the Office. He/she will assist in the organization of research events, and the design and production of promotional materials; and carry out other clerical duties as assigned.
Applicants should have a recognized sub-degree, preferably a recognized bachelor’s degree, or equivalent level of study. Applicant should possess high computer proficiency including the use of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Those with relevant work experience and/or experience with using Office 365 and Adobe Photoshop would be a definite advantage. The applicants should be meticulous and self-motivated; have good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; possess good communication skills and problem-solving skills; and be a good team player.
(1) Candidates may be appointed on temporary or part-time employment.
(2) This post is at the rank of “Research Assistant II".
(3) The appointee may be required to work on occasional Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
(4) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(5) The appointee will work on Chai Wan campus.
