Vice President – Distribution Strategy


Based in Hong Kong Corporate Headquarters, you will develop and execute a global strategic plan for 3rd party distribution. You will work closely with Revenue Management, Digital Marketing, Sales and with Regional and Hotel teams for the development and successful implementation of global directives, strategic account plans and all new distribution initiatives across Shangri-La.


Key responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the creation, implementation and delivery of training modules covering all aspects related to third party distribution policies and strategies to drive a more profitable business mix across Shangri-La properties
  • Devise and roll out channel shift strategy from 3rd party distributors to internal channels or lower cost channels in key compression markets
  • Perform research, analyze report, and provide consultation on new OTA business models
  • Drive revenue from all 3rd party online channels to meet established targets
  • Lead global contracts (Hybrid/Pure OTA). Manage Hybrid strategy with Sales Leaders for Leisure and with Revenue Management
  • Reinforce rate parity compliance and monitor OTA / Wholesale contract compliance with particular emphasis on search landscape
  • Move from traditional wholesale partners towards seamless product delivery, utilizing new/existing connectivity solutions
  • Devise process maps for online divisional campaigns and drive implementation, participation and compliance
