Shangri-La International Hotel Management Ltd.

We are seeking a Senior Director, Corporate Engineering (Projects) to join our team in the Engineering Division at the Corporate Office in Hong Kong.  Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Engineering, Operations, he/she would be responsible for establishing and implementing strategies to ensure that the Owners assets with regards to Engineering systems and Building elements in properties will be effectively and efficiently designed and built – to deliver highest engineering and building performance, in line with guest expectations and brand standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and update all Group Standards and Guidelines related to FLS, MEP, ELV, Lighting, AV, Acoustic, etc

  • Develop new standardized design templates to improve design and construction quality and shorten development cycle
  • Work with Project Management Team and Consultants to resolve problems and items of concern related to Building Services and Maintenance Designs and their implementation

  • Attend coordination meetings with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure proper criteria are set and suitable designs are included
  • Conduct and verify site Testing and Commissioning procedures and reports, to ensure properly administrated and documented, before Project Management Team, Contractors, Suppliers handing over to Hotel Engineering
  • Benchmarking to the ideal performance for energy index, unit cost, environment index
  • Feasibility study for new technology & innovation design

Experiences and skills required

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering or related discipline
  • Min. 10 years working experience in a managerial level with strong analytical skills
  • Experience in design, construction and commissioning of M&E and building services systems and installations
  • Knowledge of MEP system design, commercial equipment and materials used
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent coaching, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Proficient in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
  • Hospitality industry experience is preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office application, AutoCAD would be an advantage
  • Willingness to travel
