Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, one of the world's premier hotel companies, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team as Assistant Head of Corporate Security (Technical Services), based in the company headquarters in Hong Kong.  Reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Security, the incumbent will be responsible for:

Duties:

  • Develop and maintain a corporate level register for all camera and storage inventory in the group
  • Ensure the strategic development of the group's Internet Protocol (IP) CCTV camera systems and associated infrastructure are in line with business requirements
  • Conduct systems reviews, assessments and audits
  • Identify and drive the implementation of cloud solutions for CCTV data storage
  • Provide training and advice for hotels’ Directors of Security
  • Oversee and monitor the installation of security systems for all new hotel projects
  • Assist the Director of Corporate Security in conducting sensitive investigations and supporting the collation and gathering of evidence
  • Stay abreast of new developments in security related advances in technology
  • Review technical elements of tender submissions from security systems companies

Requirements:

  • Min. 5 years experience in CCTV and security related systems installation and upgrades
  • Conversant with digitised data storage technology and cloud based computing
  • Excellent working knowledge of CCTV analytics and Internet Protocol camera technology
  • Proven record as a project leader
  • Proficient in the use of database software such as MS Access
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with people at all levels
  • Proficient in written English and Chinese, and spoken Mandarin and Cantonese
  • Security audit experience is preferred but not essential
  • Travel (mainly Mainland China and Southeast Asia) will be required
