Job Description

Senior Manager, Product Management

Location: Hong Kong

Job Description:

1. Assist Director of Product Management in driving and overseeing the end-to-end product development process to ensure timely delivery of new and / or revamped Par and tactical tranche-based products as agreed by Product Steering Committee

2. Work with distribution channels and key stakeholders (e.g. Life Administration, Information Technology, Actuarial, Marketing, etc) to identify product ideas and related initiatives that appropriately consider and reflect distribution channel and customer requirements while balancing the need to achieve Company's business objectives

3. Responsible for proposition development, feasibility assessment and design of new / revamped products which support the product strategy and can be implemented within PHKL's financial, risk and operational constraints.  Also responsible for on-going management of Par products including regular bonus review

4. Conduct regular monitoring and assessment of new / revamped product launches and competitor products to understand performance, competitive positioning and areas for improvements

5. Assist Director of Product Management in planning, implementation, communication and tracking of customer promotions, including working with distribution channels on promotion ideas and cost & benefit projections, securing timely approvals at local and regional levels and assessing promotion effectiveness

6. Drive and deliver other ad hoc business development projects as assigned

Qualifications & requirements:

1. University graduate in any discipline

2. At least 8 relevant work experiences in a life insurance company with minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.  Experience in developing life insurance products and management reporting is preferred

3. Strong business sense

4. Strong analytical and project management skills (Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Pivot Tables)

5. Excellent communication and presentation skills (Knowledge of Microsoft Office)

6. Proven people management skills

7. Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities
