Job Description

Senior Manager, Tax Controversy Services, Tax, Hong Kong

Location: Hong Kong

  • Supervising a team of staff to provide tax advisory services to clients in relation to the tax audits being conducted by the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department
  • Managing client engagements and developing client relationships
  • Help clients to comply with their tax compliance obligations, including preparing tax computations and returns,   and handling correspondence with the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department
  • Negotiation with the field agents
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with local tax authorities 
  • A recognized accounting or equivalent degree
  • Qualified member of a professional accounting body
  • Minimum of 8 year's tax experience, preferably with experience of field audit / tax investigation / government or   tax regulatory bodies
  • Prior experience in liaison with local tax authorities is preferred
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese; Mandarin will be an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Chinese typing skills would be an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal skills would be an advantage
  • Strong business development and organisational skills
  • Analytical-minded and solid in project management
