Senior Manager – Operations Consulting - Financial Services - Adv-HK

Location: Hong Kong

The Senior Manager in this team would be expected to participate in the active growth of our Operational Effectiveness Practice with focus on Financial Services Industry. They will be working closely with clients to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their operations such as:

-               Front-to-back office operation processes re-design and restructure;
-               Change the bank initiatives;
-               Establishment of Shared Services Centre and outsourcing function
 
The incumbents will participate in delivering complex solutions to a diverse client base.  To team with others, synthesize information and develop solid conclusions is a must.  The extent of practice development activities will be dependent upon level of experience.
As a Senior Manager,
 

  • Conducting review and analysis on clients’ operations, and recommending transformative ideas

  • Working closely with the engagement team and client representative to deliver the projects

  • Acting as the daily contact point for the clients

  • Leading the engagement team to provide high quality business insight and recommendation

  • Managing the project execution and delivery, making sure the project is delivered within the agreed/guaranteed timeline and budget

  • Proactively identifying likely issues that could impact delivery and leveraging PwC network support as required

  • Involving in developing our product offerings, and marketing to external and internal clients.

  • Assisting in developing training, engagement procedures and methodologies.

  • Coaching and developing staff.

Requirements
 

  • Experience working in Big-4 firms and/or Financial Services firms, with strong consulting mindset

  • Experience in Operations and Project Management office would be given a priority

  • Execution and/or re-engineering of financial services processes such as middle-back office trade support processes, offshore projects

  • Work directly with senior management and employees throughout client organizations;

  • Strong analytical and creative problem solving capabilities;

  • A proven ability to translate client objectives into deliverable design, and develop deliverables that address complex situations;

  • Group facilitation and presentation skills;

  • Demonstrated management skills, including the ability to train and develop staff manage project budgets, and develop strong client relationships; and

  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin/Cantonese is essential.
