Job Description

Senior Associate / Manager-CN/HK Advisory Risk and Quality Management

Location: Hong Kong

This R&Q manager will work closely with other R&Q team members in the following areas:
  • Counseling partners and staff on a wide range of R&Q related issues, with reference to latest R&Q guidance and policies;
  • Involvement in client and engagement acceptance and vetting non-standard contracts;
  • Participating in additional risk management processes relating to higher risk engagements;
  • Assistance in developing local R&Q guidance and policies and refreshing template documents;
  • Communicating R&Q policies and procedures to partners and staff and running R&Q sessions for partners and staff;
  • Maintenance of various R&Q database and resources;
  • Assistance in organizing and conducting internal engagement reviews;
  • Coordinating and liaising with other practice support functions, i.e. independence office, OGC, operation, HR, etc.
Job Requirements:
  • Based in Beijing, Shanghai or Hong Kong;
  • Bachelor’s degree or above;
  • 4-8 year working experience;
  • Fluency in English and mandarin (Putonghua);
  • Legal background would be a plus;
  • Background in risk management, internal audit or compliance function in other professional service firms or multi-national companies would be a plus;
  • A professional staff of PwC China or other Big Four with 4-8 years of working experience would be a plus;
  • Familiarity with PwC databases and technology would be an advantage;
  • Strong communications skills with problem solving mentality;
  • A team player with the ability to work independently;
  • Multi-tasking and attention to details;
  • A people person who is able to build relationships with practice individuals at a wide variety of levels, from senior partners to staff;
  • A self-starter with excellent research, analytical and project management skills;
  • Willing to learn.
