Senior Associate (Insurance) – Consulting – Advisory – Hong Kong

Location: Hong Kong

PwC Consulting’s Insurance practice is currently looking for highly motivated, driven individuals to work on the front lines with our clients, colleagues and technology solutions to transform businesses. You will be having an opportunity to work with our top Insurance clients and bringing the best of strategy to execution around:

  • Process Improvement & Organizational Design

  • Enterprise Architecture design or Enterprise Risk Management

  • IT or Finance system design/implementation

As a Senior Associate, you will work closely with other team including solution architects, system analysts, and development, testing and deployment teams.  It will require combining hands-on implementation, strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
 
Responsibilities

  • Interfacing directly with clients on a daily basis

  • Running workshops and engage with clients to understand requirements of processes/applications (e.g. current state analysis, pain points, root cause analysis, future state opportunities, target operating models)

  • Support the requirements development process

  • Perform methodical analysis and documentation

  • Provide outputs for periodic updates with clients

  • Understand the risks, assumptions, dependencies associated with the process/applications

  • Work closely with the development team to ensure requirements are accurately mapped and suitable for development

  • Expected to assist with business development supporting the PwC in preparing business and technical proposals.  Being able to understand current business challenges and client landscape, and able to propose viable solutions for clients with solution approach and deliverables


Requirements

  • Bachelor degree (Business administration or STEMs is preferred)

  • At least 2+ Years of work experience in Insurance industries as Business Analyst / Financial Analyst / Operations Analyst / Project Manager, with deep understanding of the process flow of an insurance firm would be an advantage

  • Experience in system design, implementation or strategic planning is a plus

  • Experience with ERP, consolidation or analytical tools such as Hyperion (e.g. HP, HFM etc.), SAP BPC, and Oracle Financials etc. will be considered an asset

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to synthesize and interpret information

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to deal with high level senior management as well as technical, operational level staff

  • Fluent English and Chinese, both written and spoken

  • Proficient MS Office skills, including modeling in Excel, Process maps in Visio, PowerPoint including storyboarding

  • Ability to travel across Asia and globally
