Marketing Manager-Account Servicing-M&C_HK

Location: Hong Kong

Job Description & Responsibilities

The team undertakes a wide range of internal and external marketing campaigns to fulfil the practice's business requirements and success. Dynamic and fast-paced, the team's success rests on developing strategies, marketing plans and campaigns by working closely with the partners and the business units to identify marketing opportunities through proactive market analysis, competitor research and positioning the firm distinctively.

The incumbent will be responsible for assisting the leadership team to build relationships and drive local initiatives across the business. He/she will need to understand the Firm, especially on the people strategy to develop integrated marketing plans aligned with the firm’s objectives to drive growth and success.

Duties of this role are:
  • Work closely with the team to develop marketing and communications strategies, implement a range of insightful and creative campaigns that supports the firm’s priorities, reinforces our leading position in the profession and delivers value for business leaders
  • Work closely with the practice on research and data analysis for formulation of current- and future-state scenarios affecting business success. Identify trends and issues to cover in our thought leadership programmes.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with business leaders and their respective teams, provide marketing support as required
  • Develop internal communications plans, messages and materials to communicate specific initiatives to a range of internal stakeholders.
  • Produce written literature for events and marketing purposes, ensure a professional standard and consistency across all outgoing communications materials; develop campaigns to reach out to our target audience with these thought pieces
  • Lead and manage brand-defining events including conferences, seminars, road shows and support the team on other firm-wide initiatives and regional projects
  • Identify gaps in communication strategies, design mechanisms to address the gaps, and provide solutions to close them while tracking metrics
  • Lead and motivate the team to work towards delivering quality work and achieving team goals
  • Drive and promote global and local thought leadership through marketing campaigns

Reporting structure & key relationships

Report to the team lead and Associate Director

  • University degree in English, Journalism, Business or related discipline plus a minimum of seven years of experience with two years in a management position, preferably gained in a professional or consulting services firm
  • Strong organisational and project management skills to maintain the core brand objectives and strategy as well as experience working and interacting effectively with senior personnel, both internally and externally
  • Strong people management skills and the ability to lead/drive campaigns independently while working effectively in a dynamic team and to take the initiative, prioritise plans, share and collaborate on ideas.
  • Knowledge in marketing, developing strategic business plans and undertaking business needs assessments
  • Good time management and problem-solving skills under both normal and urgent occasions, with the ability to multi-task in a dynamic working environment
  • Attention to detail and strong planning and organising skills are a must;
  • A strong team player with good interpersonal skills, self starter and results-oriented
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English.  Fluent in Putonghua and Cantonese preferred but not essential
  • Experience managing people from diverse cultures and disciplines and related resources will be an advantage
  • Understanding of the Chinese business environment is critical with experience working overseas is an advantage.  An understanding of social media and its application in online marketing; prior experience in implementing a digital marketing campaign is a plus
  • Travel may be required subject to project needs
  • Knowledge on food industry is a plus
