Manager/Sr Manager (Global Projects Liaison)(1 year contract)-APAC

Location: Hong Kong

Job Description & Responsibilities

The candidate will perform the following duties:
  • Is an active member of the global PMO team for the BOS (Business Operating Solutions) programme;
  • Supports territory onboarding activities to bring BOS story to life; help build commitment in the Asia Pacific region for BOS objectives;
  • Champions the BOS value proposition and objectives at the territory level;
  • Follows and executes upon the BOS Implementation Framework and other BOS tools;
  • Aligns to and works with territory leadership, project teams, and other key stakeholders to identify pain points, engage appropriate SMEs, ensure appropriate steps are taken to mitigate the risks and issues identified, and supports the achievement of practical solutions;
  • Serves as an advisor and provides credible advice, accumulated through other successful implementations and relevant experience;
  • Coordinates projects, global, and territory stakeholder to create alignment and supports integration efforts – this may often mean getting tactically engaged and diving into the detail;
  • Manages regular touchpoints and relationship with stakeholders in Asian territories;
  • Serves as a two way learning conduit to escalate and mitigate issues from territories as well as share lessons learned and actions taken in other territories across the network; and
  • Other duties as required to facilitate successful deployments.

Reporting structure & key relationships

This role would report to the Global Projects Liaison Leader and would have significant stakeholder engagement with the BOS PMO Director and territory change leaders and COOs. Other key relationships will include project managers of BOS projects, the BOS PMO team. It is not envisaged this role would have direct reports.

  • University graduate;
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills;
  • 10+ years of work experience;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Excel;
  • Clear, effective verbal and written English communication skills;
  • Familiar with technology (e.g. cloud based solutions, mobile apps, internet);
  • Self-starter mind set;
  • Good global acumen, gravitas;
  • Comfortable working in a fast, changing environment, often with ambiguity;
  • Previous internal or client facing consulting skills is a plus;
  • Google Suite experience is a plus; and
  • Project management experience is a plus.
