Senior Network Analyst

Location: Hong Kong-NA-Hong Kong

Currently we are looking for a capable and independent individual for the following position as part of the multi-disciplinary team.

• Design and plan the implementation of local and wide area networks on a regional basis; install and configure new network hardware; supervise contract or vendor personnel during installation and configuration
• Develop and maintain strategic plan to ensure proper capacity of networks and telephone systems complying with established standards by coordinating with other technologies in Regional and Global teams
• Monitor the performance and utilization of network and telephone system to ensure all systems are properly secured
• Identify top-level problem and provide resolution for all local and wide area networks and domestic telephone systems with quick response
• Develop, document and manage disaster recovery procedures to ensure systems availability
• Investigate technologies, vendors, hardware, software, and services to make recommendations for purchase/upgrades to Arup data networks and telephone systems
• Place hardware, software, and services orders and maintenance for data networks and telephone systems
• Complete installations in a timely and professional manner, including proper mounting of hardware and securing of cabling
• Manage network and telecom related projects from feasibility study, requirements gathering, planning and implementation
• Provide guidance to subordinate group personnel on a day to day basis in aspects of task and project assignment and senior level support during ongoing projects
• Provide operations support as needed

Qualifications & Experience required:
• Bachelor Degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
• At least 8 years hands-on experience with 2 years in supervisory role, in implementation and support of complex, highly available, fault-tolerant and distributed networking systems including routers, switches and firewalls in multi-site, data centre and enterprise environment
• With CCNP and above certification/knowledge
• With thorough understanding of advanced routing, switching, firewalling (Cisco), packet flow, network optimization (Riverbed) and load balancing (F5)
• With extensive knowledge of routing and switching within multi-vendor environments that entail vendors such as Cisco, Brocade, and others
• With advanced troubleshooting knowledge, ability to perform packet traces and understand output
• Demonstrative background in implementing and supporting advanced networking technologies such as BGP, OSPF, and others, along with switching technologies such as vLAN, Spanning Tree, and others such as VPN, along with virtualization technologies
• Background in ITIL organization; following, implementing and supporting various best practice processes and procedures
• Strong sense of responsibility, self-motivation, attention to details and positive attitude
• Excellent communications skills in both written and spoken English and Cantonese. Good command of Putonghua is a plus
