Resident Inspector of Works (Building Works/Services/E&M)

Location: Hong Kong

Currently we are looking for a capable and independent individual for the following position as part of the multi-disciplinary team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage and monitor the site activities
• Report site work progress
• Monitor the standard of workmanship
• Maintain site records
• Check delivered and installed materials and equipment
• Witness and report acceptance of all testing and commissioning activities
• Attend inspections by statutory bodies

Qualifications & Experience required:
• Diploma or Higher Certificate or higher qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, or equivalent
• At least 8 years of relevant site supervisory experience including 4 years post-qualification experience in the position of Inspector of Works (Building Services/ E&M), preferably in new building works projects. Knowledge and experience in supervising Architectural Builders Works and Finishes (ABWF) will be an added advantage
• Experience in underground utilities installation is preferable
• Holder of Safety Green Card or equivalent is a must
• Holder of Certified Worker for Confined Spaces Operation or equivalent is preferable
• Good initiative and leadership skill
• Be adaptable and able to work independently coupled with strong interpersonal skills
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese


The above position will be on contract basis to work on the temporary excavation and tunneling works for a power station development project in Tuen Mun. The contract will be 12 months initially which may be lengthened to permanent employment terms subject to performance and project development. Standard working hours will be 6 days per week. Attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidates.
