Job Description

Health & Safety Officer

Location: Hong Kong-NA-Hong Kong

Our Asia offices employ approximately 3,000 staff and are engaged in prestigious multi-disciplinary projects covering buildings, infrastructure, advisory services, planning and technical consulting areas. Currently we are looking for a capable and independent individual for the following position as part of the multi-disciplinary team.

• Develop strategic health and safety plan and associated procedures / guidelines 
• Ensure compliance with statutory, contractual and company health & safety requirements
• Plan, implement, supervise and monitor the health and safety policies and programmes  
• Conduct regular health and safety audit/ inspection for office and site to identify areas of improvement, develop and implement appropriate action according to the required standards 
• Responsible for handling incident, investigation and provide recommendations for improvement
• Provide specialist advice and technical supports in health and safety functions across the region
• Provide in-house Health and Safety related trainings
• Manage and devise the agenda for the Health and Safety Committee Meeting and review the follow up actions with representatives  
• Keep up to date with the relevant health and safety related work legislation and communicate the changes to relevant business units 
• Travel is required

Qualifications & Experience required:

• Degree in Engineering, Safety Management or equivalent
• 7 years of experience in implementation of Environment, Health & Safety Management System and preferably in engineering and with profound knowledge and experience in safety
• Experience with safety inspection / auditing with construction / building projects  
• Familiar with ISO 9001/14001 and OHSAS18001 audits with corporate systems 
• Familiar with local safety law, membership of relevant professional institution such as registered safety officer
• Good analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-motivated, independent and able to work under pressure  
• Proficient in PC skills including MS Office, SharePoint

• Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese and Putonghua is an advantage
