Job Description

Assistant Engineer

Reporting to the Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for various Civil and Structural engineering projects.  
Your Next Challenge
  • Liaise with the client and project team to understand the requirements of the project
  • Assist in the production of design options/solutions that meet project requirements
  • Carry out analysis and design to verify the feasibility of the design options/solutions
  • Coordinate with engineers and professionals from various disciplines including architect, E&M, structural, geotechnical, tunnel, maritime and bridge engineers in multi-disciplinary projects
  • Prepare the deliverables to submit to the client and government official to obtain approval and consent
  • Support the preparation of tenders and project bids
  • Attend the client meeting, design meeting, authority meeting and site meeting
  • Handle the site queries and site issues

What You’ll Need

  • Degree holder in Civil Engineering discipline recognized by HKIE. Minimum of 3 years’ post-graduate work experience
  • Completion of recognized training scheme is preferable
  • Experience of authority submission in civil and building project is preferable
  • Familiar with the hydraulic software e.g. InfoWorks and MIKE11 is an advantage
  • Familiar with the standards of drainage and sewerage design is an advantage
  • Able to prioritise tasks with good time management skills and good project management skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
