Institutional Securities Technology Financial Analyst (Hong Kong)

Location: Non-Japan Asia-Hong Kong-Hong Kong-Hong Kong

OVERVIEW:

This position is under the Institutional Securities Technology (IST) division of Technology Department.  This division is responsible for developing enterprise applications for a diverse set of business including Equities, Fixed Income, Investment Banking, Operations, etc.

This position is part of global IST Business Management function driving the financial planning/management, workforce strategy and process improvements in Asia region.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Key co-ordination point in Asia to drive budgeting/forecasting processes and facilitate project prioritization discussion

·         Support local management on key Technology investment decisions through evaluation of financial impact across different technology options

·         Enable department head, project managers and application owners on cost management through project cost tracking, regular review of application total cost of ownership and analysis of departmental spend

·         Conduct regular meetings with business sponsors on total technology spend so as to increase cost transparency and promote better joint cost management on both provider and user sides

·         Gatekeeper on day to day expense claims in compliance with firm policy

·         Representative to implement any global financial and resource management systems in Asia and be the subject matter expert on related processes/systems

·         Change agent to work across boundaries to streamline and improve process efficiency*L1-KW1

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

·         Fluent English language ability

·         Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills

·         Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power point

·         Willing to do hands-on work

·         Change agent with can do attitude

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

§  4+ years’ experience in management accounting

§  Ability to operate in Western business culture effectively

§  Experience with expense control, financial analysis, budgeting and modeling of application development projects.  Ability to analyze personnel costs, operating costs, capital spend and cost divers

§  Candidates with relevant experience from COMMERCIAL INDUSTRY are also welcomed
