Executive Remuneration Country Lead, Talent Consulting, Hong Kong

The Executive Remuneration Country Lead is trusted advisor to companies across industries in Hong Kong. Through our holistic approach, supported by our proven analytical tools and delivered through our global network of recognized consultants, this position advises companies on compensation, performance, reward regulations, and governance implications of executive total remuneration. This results in formulating executive remuneration strategy and plans that secure/motivate key talent, enhance business performance, and stand up to external scrutiny.
Build the Hong Kong executive remuneration business through formulating the business plan with Talent Consulting Business Leader and the plan execution
Exert executive remuneration expertise through providing consulting services to Compensation Committees and/or senior management on a variety of remuneration issues, including competitiveness of pay and benefits, performance measurement, and governance and regulatory implications
Direct and review client deliverables, and interpret analyses performed by the project team
Provide consulting services on broader Human Capital issues in conjunction with other practice specialists, if required
Generate revenue and meet sales target through development of new client relationships and building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Provide guidance to team members. Supervising junior staff. Developing, evaluating, and mentoring less experienced colleagues.
Internal Contacts: Executive Remuneration specialists within and outside of the region for expertise/business opportunity leverage, and other practice expertise for business collaboration
External Contacts: Clients, e.g. Compensation Committees and/or senior management
BA/BS degree required, MBA preferred
Minimum of eight years’ experience in finance or finance-related consulting (with specific experience in executive compensation) or executive compensation in a large corporate environment.
Experience working with leading public and private companies in a variety of industries consulting on compensation strategy development, competitive pay evaluation, pay/performance links, incentive program design (annual and long-term), equity strategy, change in control planning, mergers and acquisitions, board compensation and other issues
Excellent analytical, English and Chinese (Mandarin) presentation and writing skills
Strong finance and accounting skills
Proven business development skill
Proven project management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to function well in a team environment
