JOB SUMMARY
 

The Sr Analyst/Manager will be responsible for analysis related to performance for all hotels, areas and regions in Asia Pacific. Provides analytical support to the Continent and field teams, including logic development for analysis related to Performance, Market Share, Sales, Market Segments, Channels, Marriott Rewards and Source Markets, Account pricing, Long Range Planning, Business Planning etc. 

 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Operations Research, Economics, Mathematics and/or statistics, etc.).
  • MBA or an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline.
  • Significant demonstrable work experience in a quantitative discipline.
 

Skills and Competencies

  • Expertise in data visualization, dashboard creation and analytical tools such as Tableau and/or Micro Strategy.
  • Expertise in structural & statistical modeling in R and/or Python.
  • Experience in SAS Analytics Pro package and/or Base SAS, SAS/STAT and SAS/GRAPH packages.
  • Experience in SQL programming skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple mid-large sized databases in MS Access environment.
  • Proficiency with Advanced Excel and Advanced PowerPoint is essential.
  • Proficient in written and oral communication in English.
  • BigSQL (advanced querying & cohort analysis) skills preferred.
  • Hadoop (basics of HDFS, MapReduce & Hadoop cluster) working experience preferred.
  • Revenue Management knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Able to take large volumes of complex information/data and present in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to lead projects and discussions with Senior leaders at both Global and Continent level.
  • Strong relationship management, strategic planning, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent demonstrated analytical ability, with experience in solving “real-life” business problems.
  • Excellent project management skills, with ability to independently manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to communicate data specifications, deadlines and project requirements to suppliers clearly and concisely.

Technical Expertise

  • Deals with special projects, including ad hoc requests for information, analysis and recommendations relative to Revenue Management initiatives.
