JOB SUMMARY

This position will be part of the accounting team responsible for the accurate internal and external financial reporting of Marriott’s subsidiaries within China. The senior accountant will work closely with the Senior Manager in day to day accounting duties in ensuring the timely and accurate closing of accounting books and records each month. The incumbent will ensure the correctness and completeness of local subsidiary ledgers for which he/she is assigned in order to facilitate timely audits of entity financial statements and filing of income tax returns.

 

Responsibilities include day-to day accounting duties (such as management of accounts receivable and payables, cash management, budgeting, intercompany transactions, issuance of official tax invoices, audits of expense claims, etc.) and financial reporting roles.

 
 
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Experience
  • More than ten years of progressive job experience in accounting
  • Experience with Sun Accounting preferred
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel
 
Education or Certification
  • Bachelor degree, with China recognized accountant certification
 
Attributes, Knowledge and Skills
  • Able to develop and maintain effective internal client relationships
  • Ability to work independently and also in a collaborative work environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Good command of English and Chinese
  • High degree of initiative, personal responsibility and integrity
