Assistant Product Development Manager, Individual Financial Product

Location: HK-HongKong-HKHO-22/F., Tower A, Manulife Financial Centre, 223-231 Wai Yip Street, Kwun Tong, Kowloon

Key Responsibilities
> Support the development and implementation of new product initiatives, on-going product maintenance, market research and intelligence and post-and-after of new product launch activities and product enhancements that align with our business directions

> Formulate compelling product value propositions that are reflected in product design and customer and distribution supports

> Conduct research and focus groups to identify customer needs and distribution preferences

> Conduct competitive analyses and provide insight

> Engage other internal functions as well as service providers to ensure product initiatives and related supports are delivered effectively and efficiently and meet our customer expectations

> Ensure distribution channels are engaged with compelling product reference materials and training tools

> Keep abreast of market trends and Manulife’s competitiveness in the assigned product categories and provide timely updates and analyses to the Management


Experience & Qualifications:

> Degree holder, preferably in finance or related disciplines

> At least 5 years of experience in the life insurance field, preferably in health product development

> Experience in panel medical product or medical providers’ management is preferred



> Excellent knowledge in various types of life insurance products

> Understanding of financial concepts and insurance pricing mechanism

> Innovative and strategic thinking

> Good project management and presentation skills

> Strong problem solving, communication and time management skills

> Proficient in using Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)

> Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work with and coordinate between various groups in the organization

> Excellent communication and writing skills in both English and Chinese
