Assistant Director / Senior Manager

The appointee will be responsible for formulating promotion and media communication strategies to highlight the strengths and achievements of the University, and assume the role of campus reporter to generate stories of interest for the media, the University community and the public.  He/She will be responsible for supervising and organizing publicity functions and events.  The successful candidate is expected to be an effective communicator with the University’s stakeholders including staff, students, alumni, donors, partners and others, and to liaise proactively with the media. 

Applicants should have (i) a relevant University degree with at least 10 years of relevant working experience, preferably in journalism and/or other related areas, such as corporate communication, public relations and publishing; (ii) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage; (iii) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and proficiency in Putonghua; (iv) excellent analytical and problem solving skills; and (v) abilities to handle projects independently and meet tight schedules. Depending on the qualifications and experience, the successful applicant will be appointed to take up the post of either Assistant Director or Senior Manager.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test in both English and Chinese.

Salary and Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
