The Centre for English and Additional Languages (CEAL) at Lingnan University is seeking to appoint an Administrative Assistant to work in the Office of CEAL. The appointee will be required to: (a) perform a variety of general and administrative duties for the Additional Language courses; (b) liaise with other departments/units; (c) provide clerical and administrative support for the CEAL; (d) work closely with the Departmental Secretary to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the Office of CEAL; and (e) report to the Additional Language Coordinator.


Applicants should have: (i) Grade E or above in English Language and Chinese Language obtained in HKALE / Level 3 or above in English Language and Chinese Language obtained in HKDSE; (ii) a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, good interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work in a multicultural environment; (iii) a high level of competence in MS Word, Excel and web applications, good knowledge of Windows and Mac software, and basic desktop publishing skills; (iv) at least two years’ relevant work experience in providing support to academic staff at university; and (v) a strong sense of responsibility, ability to work independently, good organization skills, flexible and adaptable working attitude.

Salary and Benefits

Commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
