Job Description

APAC Commerical Director

Location: Asia-Hong Kong-Wan Chai-Causeway Bay

  • Lead the newly created APAC Commercial Department, handle the Hong Kong retail and South East Asia wholesale operations, drive the change and growth in these markets, and also impact the overall APAC commercial operations by setting up retail metrics practices and fostering a retail excellence mindset in the team
  • Manage the following areas: Hong Kong retail / Wholesale / Retail Training / CRM / Store Planning / High Jewelry
  • Set up the newly created APAC Commercial Department successfully, drive business performance and identify areas for developments and improvements
  • Identify key trends in the luxury retail industry so as to drive activities in business development
  • Pilot the further development of Boucheron’s wholesale business in South East Asia
  • Develop compelling business value proposals
  • Manage and lead sales processes throughout the company to meet organic growth targets 
  • Work closely with other regional teams to layout related strategies to grow business across APAC
  • Liaise with the Boucheron HQ, the Kering local offices, and various third party partners in the region
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned by the management. Helping with the China directly operated operations will be a major focus of the first 12 months
Retail Operations and Business Development
    • Help setup retail excellence practices in the APAC zone transversally
    • Accompany the setup of the China directly operated structure in the early stages
Store Management in Hong Kong
    • Responsible for the integral management of the store in Hong Kong, including sales and product management, maintaining store image, staff management and guaranteeing a high level of customer satisfaction
    • Set key performance indicators to maximize boutique’s performance
    • Successfully open and operate Boucheron’s future other Hong Kong doors
High Jewelry
  • Responsible for recruiting new VICs for the brand in the region - mostly from Greater China, to foster and develop these relationships
  • Set up an effective HNWI recruitment strategy
  • Set pricing strategies, budgeting and forecasting on existing High Jewelry products and upcoming launches


  • Manage and develop sales in Singapore, Malaysia and Australia
  • Continue to build and develop the wholesale network in the APAC region, opening new countries as per the company plan
  • Promote and ensure brand image at wholesale level
Retail Training
  • Leading the Training Manager Asia Pacific to identify training needs, plan and execute training activities for retail staff
  • Work closely with HQ to ensure successful execution of training programmes
  • Oversee the CRM functions in APAC regions and discuss with HQ for the deployment of CRM campaigns
  • Develop and animate a community of CRM Ambassadors among boutiques
Store Planning
  • Build strong relationships with the landlords and able to identify and secure key retail locations
  • Involve in store set up in order to provide the best shopping experience to the targeted audience


  • Degree holder in Business Management or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in retail industry
  • Hands on knowledge of retail market in Hong Kong and of wholesale environment in South East Asia
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
  • Strong commercial sense and analytical skills 
  • Strategic, result driven, persistent with strong people management skill
  • Ability to identify issues, tackle problems and create solutions
  • Hands-on
  • A good team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
