The Global Investment Opportunities (GIO) Group is a specialist team that straddles the investment banking and the private banking platform which provides opportunistic, absolute return investment ideas to the most sophisticated clients in the region. The team offers a selected group of clients institutional access and execution across all asset classes and blends this with a strong understanding of the needs and sensitivities of private individuals and families.
As a GIO Investor you will work independently to service clients’ investment needs providing investment advisory services and recommendations across multiple asset classes to Private Banking clients. You will be expected to develop a thorough understanding of the private banking platform, your clients’ financial background, goals and circumstances and take ownership of the entirety of your clients’ relationships in cooperation with the other members of your relationship team. Your responsibilities may also include:
Provide investment expertise to existing and prospective clients, as well as identify new business opportunities
Contribute to pursuit of high quality prospective client opportunities
Lead events for existing and prospective clients, particularly focused on investment topics
Prepare presentation materials, client proposals/reports, and briefings drawing upon the junior resources of the GIO team and the wider JPM organization
Perform portfolio evaluation and analyses
Conduct industry and product research
Work together with other teams in meeting all compliance, regulatory, risk management, operational, and due diligence requirements and compliance with internal policies

• Candidate must possess strong drive, initiative and be able to work independently

• Fluent in English, with Cantonese and / or Mandarin
• Good presentation and writing skills
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Knowledge of investment products - minimum 3 years experience, ideally in cash equities trading and research or similar UHNW client investment experience
• Strong understanding of the needs and sensitivities of clients (private individuals and families)
• In-depth knowledge of local regulatory policies and guidelines
• Appropriate local regulatory qualification and licenses
