The Global Funds Transfer Pricing forms part of the Corporate Treasury & CIO group and supports the firm’s business units in pricing and transfer of funding, liquidity and interest rate risk. CIO is responsible for managing JPM’s interest rate and foreign exchange risks and conservatively invests the Firm’s excess funding. Global Treasury manages the Firm’s balance sheet, liquidity and funding strategy, as well as capital issuance and buybacks.
The Global Funds Transfer Pricing team is responsible to effect pricing and risk transfer of the firm's liquidity, interest rate risk, and funding positions, to establish funds transfer pricing policy, and to analyze the impact upon the firm's & line of business structural risk position(s). The Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) Associate role is responsible for overseeing activity in APAC to ensure global consistency in process & control, methodologies, and overall transfer pricing governance, including internal transaction capture, and P&L processes. The individual is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end funds transfer pricing process & infrastructure, partnering with relevant teams in CIO, Global Treasury, Line of Business Treasury, risk, technology, and finance.
Support the development of methodologies to transfer interest rate risk from lines-of-business (LOB) to Treasury
Engage LOBs and understand their balance sheets and CCY positions – set FTP approach that best reflects the economics of each product.
FTP NII analysis. Partnering with Treasury Product Control on any PNL issues or developments
Develop an understanding of the 15+ Legal Entity and 15+ CCY profiles in APAC regions and the FTP methodology associated with them
Respond to multiple, frequent LOB queries across the region relating to FTP
Bespoke and ad hoc analysis and reports for senior management covering CCY profile, Legal Entity, LOB positions and liquidity.
Projects relating to FTP, including but not limited to the SAP GL Migration, COFE and both Treasury originated and LOB NBIAs
Maintain a strong governance process, including documentation and addressing RCSAs (Risk and Control Self Assessment)
Minimum 4+ years experience in financial services or related field
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, critical thinking, investigative problem-solving and decision making abilities, with an understanding of fixed income and foreign currency analytics
Some experience in fixed income products, FX, interest rate analytics, and net interest income financial analysis and balance sheet preferred
Familiarity with bank regulatory capital, liquidity, and leverage policies an advantage
Proven discipline for ensuring robust control environment
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and bring tasks to complete closure
Organized and able to execute responsibilities with minimal supervision
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to partner effectively across different businesses and functional areas
Knowledge of the General Ledger systems (Merit, Oracle, CDGL) preferred
Strong skills in MS Excel and Power Point
