The Digital Wealth Management (DWM) organization aims to create a fully-integrated digital experience for investment clients across the wealth continuum. DWM partners closely with the business, both in Global Wealth Management (GWM) globally and Chase Wealth Management (CWM) domestically – including senior management and front office leaders – to ensure the DWM roadmap and digital product offerings meet client needs and enhance their relationships with the firm. In delivering a compelling, omni-channel journey through the entire client life cycle, DWM will extend and amplify the firm’s wealth management experience through digital. Tight collaboration with functional partners and control areas is essential in DWM’s goal of executing against a multi-year strategic initiative that will drive growth in financial performance, increase business and operational efficiency, improve client satisfaction and increase market share.
Position Overview:
Digital Wealth Management is seeking a highly effective individual to lead part of a substantial and complex multi-year, high priority strategic initiative to enhance JPM’s digital capabilities for clients in Asia Pac.   The role will coordinate governance and delivery of the Asia build out of core digital workstreams including online trading and account opening.  Critical to success will be creating effective partnerships with the following key partners including: Senior management, front office banking teams, product teams, digital transformation, legal/risk/compliance, marketing, service/ operations and technology. In this role, the candidate will manage both short-term and mid-term efforts relating to DWM capabilities while ensuring alignment with the long-term vision. They will leverage their expertise and innate ability to influence others in order to reduce duplication of efforts, minimize gaps in focus, and accelerate the overall delivery timeline. The individual will work closely with key partners to develop, unify and optimize the multi-faceted work plan for the DWM initiative.
The ideal candidate for this role has a variety of past experiences building, implementing and executing multi-dimensional project plans with a high degree of strategic importance and therefore senior management engagement. It will also be important for the candidate to understand digital offerings and capabilities, and also the marketing, technology and operational planning processes. The successful candidate will proactively identify and rationalize cross-dependencies within the DWM program and within the Asia regional as well as address obstacles along the critical path that must be solved outside to ensure alignment with the DWM program. The candidate must be able to efficiently navigate a large, global financial institution in order to persistently push the program forward while maintaining sound governance structure and practices. 
The successful candidate will be dynamic in distilling project details down to key information that must be addressed with the DWM Product and Technology Leadership Teams, while also diving deep into the nuances of Asia regional requirement details, the design process, technology development and testing, and resource allocation, etc. The ideal candidate can flexibly absorb abrupt and/or significant changes in program scope and/or direction – common to programs of this magnitude – and lead seamless pivots across workstream leads and stakeholder groups to maintain program momentum.
All candidates should have outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and an underlying passion for digital engagement. In addition to being a seasoned, well-trained professional, a successful candidate will be solution-oriented with a management style that fosters teamwork and collaboration.
The role will report directly to the Global Head of Digital Wealth Management for GWM who is located in London.
  • Ownership of unified, consolidated work plan for DWM rollout across Asia Markets program in Asia across all relevant areas for the initiative including online trading, online account opening and digital advice.
  • Responsible for continuously driving the DWM program forward in Asia including the development and deployment of brand new digital capabilities, as well as the refinement and expansion of existing digital capabilities
  • Ground all Asia stakeholders in a centralized source of detailed and up-to-date information about the DWM  initiative, and serve as primary point of contact for all detailed inquiries into program scope for the Asia business
  • Represent the Asia business at the global level to ensure regional priorities are considered and addressed
  • Facilitate overall, end-to-end program governance structure, including regular updates to the regional and global  Steering Committees and the governance of specific digital offerings
  • Help the Digital Leadership team, and each DWM workstream lead prioritize efforts by providing an intuitive, fully-rationalized view of benefits and trade-offs to set and manage expectations
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis on various elements of the program and present findings with clear, logical structuring
  • Manage a fluid and substantial queue of open items, matters requiring attention from management, issues needing resolution and decisions that must be made for DWM program to aggressively press forward
  • Host frequent, recurring project meetings with appropriate stakeholders, leveraging transparent and timely communication to ensure tight connectivity and directional alignment across the program
  • Partner with control functions to ensure successful delivery within local regulatory frameworks
  • Proactively identifying key program risks and opportunities, and contributing innovative suggestions for improving digital program and increasing its efficiency
  • Define meaningful metrics to measure successful implementation of the program, including client engagement with content
  • Consistently synchronize with working teams on detailed roadmaps of future content development, roll-outs and releases, as well as the overall long-term strategic vision for thought leadership and it’s integration into the end-to-end DWM offering and experience


  • 15+ years of experience working in financial services, preferably in wealth management
  • Background in client experience initiatives and appreciation of digital transformation in the banking industry 
  • Advanced business degree and/or certification preferred but not required
  • Expertise in defining, building and executing rich project plans, and ideally their associated operating models
  • Ability to manage tight delivery timelines and execute with calmness under intense pressure with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy required
  • Ability to prioritize projects and efforts according many variables including business and client needs, competitive and industry trends, resource and funding availability, and internal trade-offs
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Demonstrated track record of a polished leadership style that fosters teamwork and collaboration
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to influence people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions
  • Strong commitment to professional responsibilities, a degree of self-motivation suitable for a “start-up” team, and superior work ethic with adaptability to push beyond standard hours during busy periods to meet tight deadlines
