Private Banking, Business Management, Associate, Hong Kong

Location: HK-Hong Kong-Hong Kong-Chater House / 03761

As a Business Manager for the Global Wealth Management Greater China team, you will develop a detailed understanding of the Private Banking business. Working directly with the Market Manager, you will play an important role in the growth of the Greater China team and influence all levels of the Integrated Team and support functions.
You must possess a high level of taking on initiatives as well as strong interpersonal and analytical skills to be successful in this role.
Main Responsibilities & Duties
  • Work with the Market Manager of the Greater China team to execute business strategy in different areas such as sales management, risk controls, events, and firm-wide initiatives.
  • Connect with Integrated Team Members on priorities and implement important business initiatives.
  • Gather data and perform analysis for the Greater China team and identify trends and opportunities for business improvement.
  • Establish strong working relationships with all business partners throughout the Private Banking organization - across functions and geographies.
  • Support the Market Manager in communication with the Integrated Team Members and Private Banking organization.  
  • Organize, set agenda and prepare materials for the team management meetings, leadership events etc..
  • Assist with budget and financial planning including staff and headcount planning for the Greater China team.

Qualifications

  • University degree
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience within the financial services industry, ideally with exposure to project coordination / business management
  • Strong business acumen, detailed-oriented, possessing strong analytical skills
  • Problem solving mindset, ability to take initiative to resolve issues
  • Attention to detail, timeliness, and high productivity while working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Proactive, keen to learn and take on new responsibility
  • Superb computer skills - Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Articulate in written and verbal communication, native to fluent written and spoken English, Chinese language (Mandarin) skill a major plus
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills - and ability to interact with colleagues at all levels and build trusted relationships
