Job Description

The global experienced Recruiting function is comprised of 700 individuals responsible for finding the best talent to fill over 75,000 positions annually for more than 45,000 hiring managers achieve their business goals.  To do this, the function interacts with millions of candidates to help them navigate the process in order to find their next career opportunity.  The function is embarking on an aggressive transformation strategy focused on people, process and technology over the next 12-24 months to gain efficiencies and increase productivity with an outcome of better results for the business, the function and candidates.  

As an Experienced Recruiter, your primary responsibilities include staffing the Corporate functions to which you will be assigned with quality hires, understanding the business needs and partnering with the hiring manager and HR stakeholders to fully understand the staffing strategy for the business. You will be attracting and recruiting top talent for the bank, and in doing so, you will develop long and short-term, cost-effective recruitment strategies working in partnership with hiring managers, Human Resources partners, and Line of Business staffing colleagues across the firm. You will also demonstrate understanding of Corporate Functions people needs by proactively offering solutions, participating in client meetings, consulting with managers on hiring process and managing expectations. In addition, you will creatively source qualified candidates through a wide variety of channels (JobConnect, direct sourcing, internet, employee referrals, community involvement, job fairs, etc.), understand diversity goals and provide candidate slates in support of these goals, keep current on the regional Asia markets, and share information not only with clients but peers on the team, and be a subject matter expert for your coverage areas.     

The selected individual will be critical in our efforts to continue to expand and enhance our recruiting process.  They will support the head of Corporate Functions recruiting in implementing and managing day to day functions such as sourcing metrics and standardized processes which create an effective recruiting and selection process. Coming from a seasoned Executive Recruitment background, the individual will take control and accountability for the sourcing and placement of not only experienced, but also key senior level positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create recruiting strategy for respective clients including needs analysis; provide guidance to hiring managers related to recruiting process

  • Source, interview and present diverse and qualified candidates to hiring managers and solicit feedback on candidates to refine recruiting strategy

  • Proactively share innovative solutions to add value, anticipate needs, and streamline process for the client

  • Demonstrate expert level of understanding of the line of business recruiting needs by participating in client meetings, being aware of changes within the business, acting as a subject matter expert for areas of recruiting responsibility as well as managing hiring manager/candidate expectations

  • Provide candidates with frequent & timely communication throughout recruitment process, share manager feedback and appropriately disposition all candidates

  • Educate candidates on the career growth potential, benefits, compensation philosophy and many advantages of working for JPMC selling both the firm and the opportunity

  • Conduct appropriate compensation conversations with hiring managers, candidates and HR stakeholders to ensure closure of offers

  • Take ownership of and understand diversity goals for respective LOB, provide education to hiring manager and ensure diverse candidate slates

  • Provide meaningful market data in support of client needs

  • Establish a rapport and partner with the appropriate stakeholders for candidate development and offers


  • Extensive experience with full project life cycle recruiting in a fast paced corporate environment or retained firm focused on financial services.

  • Prior experience working for a search firm coupled with in-house experience is preferred but not essential

  • Must have prior experience of recruiting at senior levels (Executive Director/Managing Director)

  • Superior multi-tasking, detail orientation, project management and presentation skills coupled with business acumen

  • Interpersonally effective and comfortable interacting with employees at all levels

  • Ability to work independently and partner with peers in an environment of change, challenge and multiple deadlines and priorities

  • High level of comfort with direct sourcing and the ability to sell currently employed potential candidates on opportunities within JPMorgan Chase

  • Must have extensive experience of dealing with sophisticated compensation negotiations

  • Experience recruiting in controls and infrastructure functions is strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated ability and gravitas to interact with senior level candidates and managers
