Global Investment Management, Technology Resiliency Analyst, Associate, Hong Kong

Role summary:
The Technology Resiliency Analyst is to manage technology resiliency mandates within the IT environment for the Global Investment Management Asia("GIM Asia").  Act as the primary contact for technology resiliency related matters, oversight the technology resiliency risk posture and coordinate resiliency test events in compliance with Corporate Resiliency policy and regulatory requirements.  This role will actively interact with the business resiliency, application development and infrastructure technology teams as well as other business and control functions within the firm to support the Global Technology DRIVE operating principles in an effective and efficient manner.
This role also responsible for best practices in resiliency testing and is expected to continually develop those to meet changing client and regulatory demands, as well as to increase consistency and predictability in delivery of IT products & services.  This can include developing new practices in partnership with other teams and stakeholders.  There are significant milestones that need to be achieved in a short span of time to meet changing requirements and the Technology Resiliency Analyst is expected to mobilize stakeholders to meet those objectives.  The ability to apply project management disciplines to formalize a plan for this is essential, as well as the ability to report and escalate as needed to ensure successful outcome.

Role deliverables:
The Technology Resiliency Analyst manages the delivery of technology resiliency capabilities through:-
Preparation
  • Drive the application resiliency analysis and work with the teams to ensure action plans to close out gaps
  • Create APAC application portfolio to provide execution discipline and timely reporting
  • Lead efforts to evolve and improve processes and policies to meet changing business and regulatory requirements
Testing
  • Coordinate Disaster Recovery / Sustained Resiliency tests by attending and hosting test planning meetings as required
  • Coordinate High Availability tests by attending and hosting test planning meetings as required
  • Participation in post-event deep dives and identify opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and policies
  • Ensuring compliance with call tree testing requirements
  • Ensure consistency of execution across the application portfolio
 Documentation
  • Review and coordinate updates to Technology Recovery Action Plan (TRAP) documents to ensure compliance to Corporate requirements
  • Review and coordinate updates to Business Continuity (People) plans to ensure compliance to Corporate requirements
 Reporting
  • Updating and maintaining resiliency data in various resiliency tools including RDMS (Resiliency Data Management System)
  • Escalate issues and impediments to senior management to obtain support where needed
 Other deliverables include
  • Help drive discussion in the wider GIM resiliency community on best practices and evolution of Corporate requirements
  • Managing, coordinating and responding to Audits and regulators on resiliency related topics
  • Drive onboarding to new resiliency tools
  • Drive education and training across the technical teams
  • Review Concentration Risk periodically for key technical support staff
  • Participate in resiliency initiatives as required

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in key Business Resiliency deliverables including Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Business Continuity Plans (BCP), Technology Recovery Action Plans (TRAP) and Resiliency testing, with at least 8 years of relevant experience (e.g. audit, resiliency, operational risk, compliance) preferred
  • Industry qualifications such like CBCP, CISA, CISSP, ITIL would be advantaged.
  • Expertise in the risk & controls environment, including familiarity of regulatory and corporate requirements such as SOX, SSAE16 and MAS
  • Experience interacting with mid-level management, with proven ability to positively influence people at a variety of levels.  Experience in presenting to senior management, focusing on key messages and clear delivery
  • Proven ability to influence globally dispersed teams to implement process change
  • Strong quality assurance and process improvement experience
  • Proficient process skills, including: Corporate resiliency requirements, audit processes, business analysis, change management, IT Risk Management, technical problem resolution, project management, performance metrics and reporting
  • Proficient technical skills, including: Operation systems, data base administration and network management
  • Excellent analytic and problem solving skills, positive self-starter with proactive approach and excellent time management and prioritization skills
