The Product Strategy team forms part of JPMorgan Global Investment Management (GIM) business. The team is responsible for providing comprehensive research, thought leadership and competitive differentiation of JPMAM’s investment capabilities to expand distribution and the quality of product coverage.
Position Overview:
The Product Strategy individual will be responsible for developing and executing a platform to effectively drive the product positioning and messaging across the Funds and Institutional client segments.  This individual will collaborate with investors, client teams, marketing, and investment management partners to provide competitive intelligence and influence decisions.
  •  Shape & Position the GIM global product offering:
    • Investment Team partner: Subject matter expert on specific asset classes, including product universe and key market dynamics, flows, competitor positioning, and competitor strategy launches
    • Client Team partner: Primary Product Strategy contact for regional distribution and marketing teams across Funds and Institutional channels
      • Product Strategy programs (Portfolio Insights, training and performance analysis)
    • Position through training and communication (presentations on weekly sales calls, meetings and conferences)
      • Generalist knowledge across all products
      • Competitive positioning across asset classes – linking an understanding of client buying behaviour
      • Participation in regional sales and marketing activities, such as road shows, marketing campaigns and management meetings
    • Shape product range and drive innovation through Industry knowledge and competitive insight
    • Proactive ownership of special projects globally 
    • Contribution to broader business, including a strong partnership with regional Product Development teams
  • Actively participate in client activities including client meetings and calls, industry events and panels


  • Bachelors Degree and 6+ years financial services experience with strong Asian markets exposure, with a significant focus in product management, analysis, and strategy
  • CFA, MBA or CAIA preferred; SFC License to advise or equivalent in local markets
  • Strong analytical, project management and cross-organization collaboration skills required
  • Robust communication & presentation skills
  • Ability to execute  at the highest level  and in timely matter while balancing competing priorities
  • Team player within Strategic Product Management and ability to leverage broad resources of global team
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and gain senior management buy-in on key initiatives
  • Fluency in English.  Preference for candidates with fluency in Mandarin
  • Proficiency in Morningstar Direct, eVestment and Simfund
