Location: HK-Hong Kong-Hong Kong-Chater House / 03761

JPMorgan Asset Management’s Global Fixed Income Team manages Global, US$ and emerging markets fixed income portfolios for a wide range of private and institutional investors around the world, including the Asia Pacific region. As at 30 September 2013, the Global Fixed Income Group manages over USD819 billion in assets. Our Asian business has grown tremendously over the last few years such that today GFI manages over USD12 billion of fixed income assets on behalf of Asian institutional and retail clients.

 

We are currently looking to recruit an Analyst within the Client Portfolio Management team reporting directly to a locally based senior Client Portfolio Manager.

 

Key functions of the CPM team:

  •  Act as a champion for GFI’s investment products and capabilities; work closely with the sales team with the objective to grow the GFI business in Asia
  •  Provide high quality service/support/communication to our existing clients relating to their portfolios managed by our portfolio management team. 
  • Manage and develop our product range to cater for the local market needs

Specific responsibilities:

 

  • Develop strong technical knowledge on the range of products managed by GFI

  • Develop strong relationships with sales teams and clients

  • Support the development of new fixed income products for Asian clients

  • Write regular market and portfolio commentary as an update to clients and the sales team

  • Review proposals & write powerpoint presentations, formulate marketing messages on specific investment strategy

  • Provide timely response to product enquiries from internal sales teams

Qualification

 
  • University degree, preferably in Finance, Economics or related subjects
  • Strong English and either Putonghua (written and oral) and/or Cantonese
  • Excellent time management - able to prioritise issues and respond in a timely manner
  • Team player, combined with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Strong computer skills – word, excel, powerpoint
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills and ability to deal with colleagues at all levels
  • Candidate should have a strong interest in investments and asset management business. Knowledge on the fund management industry would be a distinct advantage
  • Quantitative skills would be an advantage to support research efforts
  • 1-2 years of relevant (e.g. fixed income funds, fixed income sales/product specialist) working experience is preferred
