Job Description

Global Investment Management, Distributed Computing Support (Web & Middleware), Associate, Hong Kong

Location: HK-Hong Kong-Mongkok-Grand Century Place / 01311

JPMorgan Asset Management ("JPMAM") provides investment management products and services to institutional and individual investors worldwide. It offers the full spectrum of investment strategies - from equity, cash management, fixed income, currency and asset allocation to alternative asset classes such as private equity, real estate and hedge funds

  • Install and support software running on distributed platforms (Linux / UNIX)
  • Liaise with vendors and other internal infrastructure teams to deliver technical solutions
  • Provide timely troubleshooting on supported technology and manage incidents following the corporate incident management standard
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotational basis
  • Write and update support documentations
  • Provide advice to architects on the design of supported products to deliver solutions
  • Perform performance tuning to supported technology
  • Remediate risks on supported products and support risk related events like audit and BCP


  • University graduate with degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • At least 6 years of working experience on middleware technology like Websphere, Tomcat, Apache etc.
  • Experience in scripting and automation technology
  • General network traffic load balancing knowledge is preferred
  • Experience with Cloud providers such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Rackspace Cloud Servers etc. is desirable
  • Experience with Cloud Management software such as OpenStack is desirable
  • Experience with orchestration tools such as OpenStack Heat or VMWare vCO is desirable
  • Experience on any of Websphere Portal, Oracle WebCenter, Informatica, MQ, Qpid, Mule, Gemfire, Business Objects will be an added advantage
  • Experience on supporting databases and operating systems will be an added advantage
  • Experience of coding in a modern programming language will be an added advantage
  • Familiar with ITIL processes and industry standard Systems Management toolsets
  • Independent and good interpersonal skill
  • Good communication skill with both written and spoken English, Putonghua will be an added advantage.
