The successful candidate will be part of the CIB Market Risk Coverage team based in Hong Kong. Major rresponsibilities include the following:--
Identifying and analyzing the risk exposures of the APAC Equities/Equity Finance/Fixed Income Financing businesses against market situation and our risk appetite
Evaluating new transactions through Pre-Trade Governance process and making decisions on new trade approval and limit change requests
Quantifying risk exposures proactively such as by designing and running appropriate stress tests
Enhancing existing or proposing new risk measures and reports to improve risk representation and transparency;
Improving control environment by running existing control measures effectively, identifying shortcomings and remediating issues proactively
Leading or conducting risk deep-dives analysis to understand the business strategies, identify ways to improve their risk/reward and influence the business to adopt proposed changes
Being accountable for both regional and global projects to enhance our risk management capabilities;
Carrying out tasks related to Legal Entity, E-trading and Model risk areas
Working with other stakeholders effectively including the Front Office and other Control/Risk functions to manage risks holistically
Proficiency in risk management and good financial market and product knowledge
Ability to think analytical and strategically with good risk judgement
Ability to influence the business and push back when needed
Good communication and can foster relationships with other risk stripes and the global teams
A self-starter with high sense of ownership
Good leadership, teamwork and project management skills.
