The Global Finance Ledger Migration Program team is responsible for moving the Bank to a single ledger platform.


The FTP Programme is a multi year effort with one of its key goals being the deployment of a single global general ledger across JPMC.  The programme started in 2007 and aims to conclude in 2018.  In 2016 we will initiate the APAC migration project.


The role will work in tandem with the current EMEA program testing lead to support the APAC time zone.


This project requires a significant level of testing and the role of the Test Execution Lead has been defined to manage this key project workstream. Given the scale of this initiative and the strategic significance of the London entities, this will be a broad and challenging role requiring strong project management experience.


Key Objectives


The key responsibility of the role is to own the end-to-end successful completion and control of the APAC SAP/GL migration testing.  This will include:

  • Defining and agreeing the test strategy with the program team. The test strategy defines the structure of the test cycles, data cut points, roles and responsibilities, reconciliations, timelines, etc.

    • Owning the build of the detailed test execution plan (TEP) across the multiple testing phases of the project

    • Maintaining an overall view of the status of the testing and being able to communicate the status of the testing execution, defect status, key issues and reporting on a daily basis to the senior program leads.

    • Managing the detailed execution of the TEP.  This will involve:

  • Ensuring that all parties are aware of the upcoming tasks and are prepared to progress them in a timely fashion.

  • Identifying potential risks or roadblocks and defining mitigation strategies.

  • Working with the workstream leads to drive progression.

  • Ensuring that issues are being correctly recorded and tracked.

  • Ensuring that the technology and business teams have sufficient resources to execute the plan.

    • Ensuring completion of PLC deliverables.

    • Conversion

  • Building and agreeing a conversion approach.

  • Detailed task planning of the conversion


Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong project management skill set developed on projects operating within a structured Project Life Cycle.

  • Experience managing multi-system testing cycles including working as part of a program

  • Experience of bank-wide systems to track test progress and provide management reporting.


  • Knowledge of Corporate Finance business functions, processes, methodologies & technology platforms.

  • Experience of building strong partnerships within a project team.


  • Proven test management skills & delivery track record on broad multi-functional project delivery within the banking industry.

  • Knowledge of finance functions with business product knowledge a plus.


  • Influencing, negotiation & conflict management skills.

  • People management.

  • Initiative, proactive approach, ownership, responsibility – must be self starter and able to manage key relationships across split locations.
