Position Overview
The Product Manager will join an elite, entrepreneurial and collegial team within JP Morgan's Corporate Investment Bank's (CIB), reporting locally to the JPMM Asia Product Lead. One of the most high profile investments within the bank, J.P. Morgan Markets (JPMM) is the firm's new single dealer platform provides clients seamless access to critical functionality across the trade lifecycle, from research, analytics and structuring to trading and post-trading, across markets globally.
Product Responsibilities for Asia:
JPMM is a federated model of core and business aligned initiatives, delivered at a global, as well as local level. The right candidate will concentrate on the Asian portion of this model, with the following responsibilities:
  • Drive multiple, often concurrent, cross-product and platform-wide strategy initiatives, by quickly building competence in new areas, building critical relationships across functions and management levels and ensuring successful execution
  • Partner with a core team of strategy, product, sales, marketing, operations and technology colleagues across businesses and functions to help with critical decision making through internal analysis, competitive landscape review and market research
  • Analyze our capabilities and identify priority gaps and opportunities, to ensure J.P. Morgan capitalizes on leveraging it's new electronic trading single dealer platform
  • Coordinate across numerous constituencies to gain consensus, mediate conflicts through 'air traffic control' and develop innovative, efficient, competitive approaches to issues
  • Understand clients wants and needs and translate into actionable product development initiatives
  • Develop new processes and solutions (such as competitive intelligence, client feedback process)
  • Facilitate cross-asset sharing of best practices
  • Be a champion for the JPMM Product in Asia.
Compliance and Regulatory Responsibilities:
The right candidate will help define a consistent Global JPMM Business Paradigm for compliance and regulatory approvals for Trading, Research, Analytics, Post Trade and Investor Services. Asia compliance, regulatory and legal responsibilities would include:
  • Within the JPMM product team drive the Asia legal & compliance sign-off required for platform functionality and marketing material. For these key JPMM core components the candidate would own and drive the process to conclusion
  • Understand and provide guidance on the impact of regulatory change across the financial industry
  • Partner with product, sales, technology and operations functions to lead the development, implementation and maintenance of a streamlined legal and compliance process across ecommerce regionally. This includes partnering with the line of business product owners to obtain and record approvals. Key is a consistent, auditable process
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing of the JPMM strategy and cross asset roadmap with local legal, compliance, and risk managers
  • Manage local regulatory, compliance, and audit (e.g. IT, Operational) reviews of JPMM
  • Maintain a regional version of the global cross asset product roadmap and monitor JPMM cross asset production roll-outs to ensure product and regional integrity
  • Strong follow-up and ownership of regulatory, compliance, risk, and issue resolution. Ensure timely resolution and communication to stakeholders and clients


Candidates should have 5-7 years of detailed product development and structured problem solving experience in the financial industry, ideally on an e-commerce platform. Detailed and extensive experience partnering with Legal and Compliance Teams within a financial organization is a necessity. A working knowledge of regulatory change and its impact is a plus. Markets product knowledge, in Macro and Spread products is also a plus.
