About J.P. Morgan Investor Services Foreign Exchange Client Management
The Investor Services foreign exchange client management team is responsible for ensuring that Investor Services provides foreign exchange (FX) solutions and other market products to institutional investors on a global basis.  The business provides all components of the products including execution, product management & development, technical sales and relationship management all underpinned with a focus of creating client solutions.
Within IS, the foreign exchange client manager is responsible for managing existing FX relationships. The FX Client Manager delivers J.P. Morgan performance reviews that focus on execution and how the associated risks are managed and mitigated; articulates trading strategy and how we have delivered superior value to clients. The FX Client Manager also provides clients with insight and perspective regarding industry trends and issues.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities covered by these areas:
The candidate will be based in Hong Kong and be responsible for supporting the team in managing all aspects of the FX relationship for our custody clients. In addition to supporting the team in managing the existing clients, a key component of the role is monitoring service standards for each client to ensure the highest possible levels of client satisfaction, while focusing on creating client solutions.  
The candidate will be measured by their ability to develop direct and deep relationships with clients and be able to influence client behavior.  They must also communicate internally across various trading desks, product groups, operations and service and also importantly work in partnership with the IS Relationship Managers, who have overall responsibility for the entire client relationship across IS.
  • Support the team in managing top tier custody/ FX client relationships for the region
  • Support the team in identifying opportunities to enhance revenue to client and/ or J.P. Morgan by introducing different ideas and opportunities
  • Support the team in ensuring consistent and the highest quality of service standards for each relationship, developing appropriate metrics and management reporting. Ensure relationships receive the optimal service levels for foreign exchange
  • Junior point of contact for clients initially- expected to develop deep relationships with client contacts over time at the middle management level
  • Support the team in retaining business in a highly competitive market environment
  • Support the team in providing clients with insight and perspective regarding industry trends and issues
  • Understands firm's approach and policies for managing risks in relevant business and applicable legal and regulatory rules, and follows policies.
  • Build foundation of trust with clients by demonstrating an understanding of their needs, clearly articulating desk ideas, and being responsive.
  • Balance potentially competing needs across clients, internal partners and the firm.

  • A strong interest in, and general understanding of, all aspects of Foreign Exchange, including trading, operations, compliance, legal and risk
  • Minimum of six months experience in a Foreign Exchange-related role is preferred
  • Entrepreneurial drive with strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Experience working within an investment bank
  • Demonstrable proficiency with market and product lingo. Well versed in the quantitative nature and framework of own product (e.g., pricing, models, etc).
  • Demonstrates creativity in solving problems. Always looks for new ways of doing things.
  • Understands the different types of risk and can discuss in detail ways of managing these risk.
  • Thoroughly understands drivers of relevant markets and can explain and anticipate market movements.
  • Understands transaction cycle and the steps in the process and is execution oriented.
  • Ability to thrive on the challenge of competitive pressures and remain focused on client needs
  • Ability to communicate concepts and ideas, both verbally and via documentation, and be able to defend their validity and target messages to different audiences.
  • Ability to interact comfortably with business clients and management. 
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
  • English fluency is essential
  • Japanese fluency is essential
