CIB F&BM - Asia Cash Equities Product Controller – Associate – Hong Kong

Location: HK-Hong Kong-Hong Kong-One Island East / 31141

The Corporate & Investment Bank Finance and Business Management (F&BM) Asia Cash Equities Product Controller will be responsible on Profit and Loss Reporting for all respective Asia Cash Equities business. Responsibilities include ensure the overall integrity and validity of profit and loss, arranging and monitoring Global reporting, providing and walkthrough the Monthly Control report with front offices, improving ongoing processes and handling ad-hoc tasks and projects.


Job functions/responsibilities

  • Prepare, report and oversight on daily Profit and Loss (P&L) result, P&L attribution and daily EOD estimate flash through Global reporting platform.

  • Understand the end to end trade processing flow which needed to interact and jointly work with Front Office, Middle Office, Operations and Financial Control to resolve P&L difference between front end and back end

  • Involve and direct oversight in month end closing process

  • Maintaining strong control framework

  • Prepare Monthly Control Report and provide details to Front Office for their respective business.

  • Support and analyze requests from front office and other control functions.

  • Liaise closely with Technology, Operation and Finance to solve system constraints.

  • Proactively identifying opportunities to improve existing processes and the overall control environment in daily and monthly P&L reporting

  • Ensure regulatory demands and questions are being addressed promptly.

  • Provide extensive guidance and support to the junior staff whenever is necessary

  • Handle daily and ad hoc queries from different parties.


Essential skills/experience
  • Minimum 5 years working experience required, working in a high volume, fast-paced environment with knowledge on equities business is preferable.
  • Strong analytical skill is required
  • Accounting knowledge is beneficial

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
