Escrow Services is a business unit within the Treasury Services division of J.P. Morgan’s Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB). Escrow holds institutional client assets in safekeeping and delivers those assets once certain pre-agreed conditions have been fulfilled. Escrow is used to mitigate risk in institutional transactions, most commonly for mergers and acquisitions, financing and litigation settlements. 
This position reports to the Escrow Services Business Executive based in New York.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the definition and execution of the strategy in the APAC region including P&L projections, target segments/markets, product capabilities and ensure product strategy is clearly articulated with internal partners.   
  • Take accountability for the Escrow P&L including planning, and financial forecasting
  • Embrace an end-to-end focus on controls as a part of business strategy. Appropriately raise any risk/control issues
  • Center of expertise for our partners and clients on the end to end delivery of the Escrow product regionally
  • Work closely with Treasury and Liquidity partners to maximize the value of escrow deposits on balance sheet. 
  • Own the Escrow pricing process (both deposit and fee based) within the APAC region to ensure the business is taking on incrementally profitable new business. 
  • Identify new opportunities/applications of the Escrow product within APAC and work with functional partners to design and roll-out new products via the NBIA process, as appropriate
  • Act as an internal advocate of the Escrow product
  • Understand and analyze industry trends for Escrow services including risk and regulatory developments and competitive landscape
  • Set a first-class standard of performance and integrity, and expect a first-class standard from the team.
  • Banking knowledge, including knowledge of the TS  and escrow businesses
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills including business case creation
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to motivate and drive strategic and tactical execution
  • Deep understanding of risk management and effective controls for mitigating risk.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated client facing experience with internal and external clients
  •  A deep understanding of and proven experience with product management principles
  • The ability to lead initiatives from start through finish; build and socialize requirements, partner across various product and functional teams, create and execute against business and project plans.
  • Proven project management experience including project plan creation & management,  issue/ risk identification & resolution, senior level reporting and communication
  • 10+ years’ experience in product management in financial services
  • Strong financial, analytical and strategic skill set
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills 
  • Chinese language capability is desirable
  • Disciplined approach to risk management
  • Detailed knowledge of product related risk and regulatory environment.
  • Execution-oriented self-starter who likes to take initiative, and is able to get things done
