CIB Agency Lending provides a complete range of lending products that provide clients with opportunities to gain incremental income on their assets. Agency Lending enables institutional investors to earn extra income on their investment and pension portfolios with minimal risk and involvement, with over 150 lending relationships and lend able assets in excess of $600 billion.
The opportunity is to join the Product Management Team within the Agency Lending business.
Reporting to the Agency Lending Senior Regulatory and Due Diligence Product Manager, the successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
Understand product capabilities and existing business model, to establish both short and long-term product development plan for the Agent Lending business in the APAC region. Give consideration to industry, client, counterparty, competition and regulatory opportunities and threats when determining development plan.
Involvement with the day-to-day management and delivery of the due diligence, tax and regulatory process for the Securities Lending product, with focus specifically on the APAC region.
Lead business impact assessment for any APAC related changes identified, in collaboration with Trading, and other functional / business partners, including Legal and Compliance.
Effectively lead opportunity assessments and other internal approval processes (including NBIA) for new products impacting the APAC region. Requires working closely with functional / business partners
Promote development to the sales, client teams and other internal partners, including where needed, the creation of client materials
Participation in relevant regional industry groups (e.g PASLA) and market consultations in relation to regulatory matters. This will include leading discussions and working to influence outcomes.
Represent Agent Lending both at wider internal regional regulatory forums, and with external clients in relation to regulation updates
Representing Product at internal new deal forums, reviewing non-standard requirements and impacts from a APAC perspective.
Strong knowledge and prior experience of the securities lending product and industry
Proven track record in project management and delivery
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, and ability to work with management at all levels, network throughout the firm.
Self-starter with ability to multi task, work effectively as a team and both independently, to strict deadlines.
Strong problem solving skills; must be able to propose solutions and recommendations and think creatively and ‘out of the box’
May suit a candidate with a tax, accountancy or paralegal background
